This is a full-time, on-site role for a Training Coordinator based in Makedonska Kamenica. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing training programs for mine employees. Key duties include assessing training needs, developing and delivering training sessions, maintaining training records, and ensuring compliance with operational safety standards. The role involves frequent collaboration with various departments to create effective training strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
You will:
- Use your hands-on machine operator experience to upskill SASA’s underground team
- Coordinate underground training and competency frameworks
- Identify skills gaps and support onboarding of new starters
- Maintain regulatory compliance and training records
- Embed a learning culture across the operation
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in underground mining:
o Drilling patterns and accuracy for development and production holes
o Charging and blasting procedures
o Ventilation and dust control
o Ground conditions and geotechnical hazards
o Ore extraction cycles – LOS remote controlled loaders - Experience with production drilling and blasting methods, particularly:
o Longhole stoping,
o Slot raising and production blasting and
o Ground support installation - Direct operating experience with underground equipment such as:
o Boomer drill rig (jumbo)
o Load-Haul-Dump machine (LHD / scooptram)
o Underground trucks - Knowledge of training systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Understanding of statutory training requirements
