For the fifth consecutive year, Sasa Mine, through the Sasa Mine Foundation, is proud to announce its Children’s art competition on the theme: “60 Years Together – Coloured by Children’s Imagination”.
Same as last year, instead of being submitted to Sasa, children will create their artworks during creative workshops led by a local artist – art teacher. This way, children will have the opportunity to freely discover and express their talent and creativity, conveying their emotional connection to the environment in which they grow up and their own dreams for the future.
Who can participate?
All children aged 5 to 15 who live in the Municipality of Makedonska Kamenica, including children of Sasa Mine employees within the age group.
Themes and guidelines for creating the drawings
- The theme ’60 Years Together – Coloured by Children’s Imagination’ invites children to express their creativity and experience of the six-decade story of the mine and its connection with the local community through drawings. Through their artwork, children can portray the history and present of the mine, the people who build its success, and the vision for a shared future filled with new opportunities, development, and children’s dreams.
- Drawing size: A4 format (technique of choice)
- Location: The drawings will be created at the Sasa Mine Training Centre, next to the Community Office in Makedonska Kamenica, at the organised workshops led by the local artist. By attending one of the workshops, the child and their parent/guardian automatically give consent for the drawing to be used by the Sasa Mine Foundation and Sasa Mine for promotional and community purposes.
Timeline
- Application for participation: until 2 November 2026 (Applications should be submitted by e-mail to a.pavlova@sasa.com.mk or by phone on 071/334-922. To complete the registration, the following information is required: the child’s full name, age, the parent/guardian’s full name, and phone number.)
- Art workshops: 7 and 14 November 2026 (A maximum of 20 participants per workshop; additional sessions will be organised depending on the number of applications)
