This is a full-time, on-site role for a Deputy Finance Director at Sasa Mine, located in Makedonska Kamenica, North Macedonia. The Deputy Finance Director will play a key role in supporting financial planning, preparing accurate financial statements, overseeing financial reporting, and contributing to the mine’s operational efficiency. Daily responsibilities include monitoring financial performance, managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and working closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making.
You will:
- Lead accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial planning
- Monitor costs, capex/opex, and support audits and compliance
- Provide insights for strategic business decisions and manage finance team
- Drive forecasting, analysis, and financial performance improvements
- Oversee the Procurement and Concentrate Sales teams
We’re looking for someone with:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in Controlling, Reporting, or Accounting.
- ERP and MS Office knowledge, professional finance certification advantageous.
- Strong analytical and communication skills in English and Macedonian
- Significant experience in financial management, financial reporting, and budgeting, ideally within a complex or multinational organisation.
- Proven experience supporting senior finance leadership and overseeing finance operations, including management accounts, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance, with experience preparing reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to manage day-to-day finance activities and support strategic decision-making.
- Ability to collaborate with corporate leadership and operational teams across multiple locations, providing financial insight to support business performance and growth.
